PrepCompass for Neighborhoods, HOAs, and Community Groups

Neighborhoods and HOAs can run a shared preparedness challenge: every household builds its own plan, tracks its supplies, and improves its readiness, using the same share tools — a link, a QR code, and a ready-made graphic.

How a community challenge works

An organizer shares the challenge with the community — through a newsletter, at an event, or on a bulletin board — using the share link, the downloadable QR code, or the ready-to-share graphic from the challenge page. Each household then builds its own plan at its own pace, following the same methodology: hazards, lifelines, capabilities, next best actions, readiness.

Why it works for groups

Preparedness is easier together: neighbors compare notes, share what they learned, and nudge each other to finish the next step. Because every household follows the same method, the community builds a common language for readiness — the same lifelines, the same capabilities — which makes mutual assistance real instead of theoretical. Each household's plan and data stay its own.

Start with one event

The simplest version is one preparedness month, one shared link, and one goal: every participating household finishes its plan. The challenge page has everything an organizer needs to share it, including a description to copy and graphics to post.
