About PrepCompass
What Is PrepCompass?
PrepCompass is a guided household preparedness system that turns an overwhelming emergency plan into one next best action at a time. It assesses your household's risks, tracks your supplies and their expiration dates, and keeps your readiness current with guided practice — so a kit bought once does not quietly go stale.
The problem it solves
Most households know they should prepare, and most never finish. The usual pattern is overwhelm into inaction: a long checklist, a big shopping trip, and then a kit that sits in a closet while food expires and batteries die. PrepCompass is built for the household that has been meaning to get ready, not for the household that already has a bunker.
What it does
PrepCompass follows one methodology: assess your household's hazards, check the seven lifelines, build the ten capabilities, and take the next best action — then reassess and improve. Around that method it provides six things:
- Next Best Action Engine — one clear step at a time, updated as you go.
- AI Assistant — answers grounded in your household's plan.
- Supplies Inventory & Tracking — what you own, and when it expires.
- Preparedness Insights — lessons from real-world events, applied to a household like yours.
- Guided Practice — short household drills on your schedule.
- Support Network — share the plan with family, neighbors, and close friends.
Who it is for
Mainstream homeowners and parents: people with a household to look after, a busy schedule, and a nagging sense that they should be more ready than they are. If wildfire smoke, a winter storm, or Cascadia earthquake anxiety has ever made you think "we should have a plan," PrepCompass is the system that turns that thought into finished steps.
How much it costs
Building your household's emergency plan is free to start. The ongoing system — maintained readiness, not a one-time checklist — is $3 per month, $25 per year, or $50 for a three-year founding membership. The 60-Day Challenge gives full access free for 60 days, with a card on file and nothing charged until day 60.
